John Curtin College of the Arts is a prestigious college that excels both within the Arts and the academic fields.
I have great pride in the college and it is my privilege to be the Principal of this outstanding institution.
I have been working with the Department of Education and Training for 24 years and I have been Principal of John Curtin College of the Arts for the last three years.
Before arriving at John Curtin College of the Arts I had been Principal of Rossmoyne SHS, Principal of Leeming SHS, Manager of Operations of the Fremantle-Peel District Office, Deputy Principal of Hamilton SHS and Deputy Principal of Bridgetown HS.
I have a Masters of Education in Educational Management and Administration and Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Science.
I have three of my own children all attending Government schools in the Fremantle-Peel Education District and I am passionate about excellence in the Government education system.
I have a great love of the Arts and my children and extended family are all involved in aspects of the Arts.
Combined with my passion for the Arts and academic excellence I also feel very strongly about the values of the college that promote creativity innovation, imagination, respect, care, compassion, excellence, a fair go for all, responsibility and integrity.
I encourage all staff to model these values in every aspect of their employment. I believe that all students should be able to leave this college after five years of education as well rounded adults who understand and model these values and strive for excellence in all that they do.
With talented students, excellent facilities and very capable and highly qualified teachers, I believe that John Curtin College of the Arts is well positioned to provide leadership in Arts education in Australia.
I welcome you to contact the college or myself regarding any further information.
