The Curtin Theatre is a magnificent blue-glass pavilion building which sits just above the City of Fremantle, with commanding views of Cockburn Sound, Rottnest Island and the Indian Ocean. It is Western Australia's newest theatre, seating 470 people facing a large and flexible proscenium-style stage.
Superbly equipped, The Curtin Theatre offers opportunities for a wide range of uses in theatrical and musical performance and for conferences, seminars and other presentations.Located on the perimeter of the John Curtin College of the Arts campus, within five walking minutes of the Fremantle CBD, it offers easy access to rail and bus public transport and the metropolitan highway system, with ample, secure on-site parking.
The fully air-conditioned Curtin Theatre incorporates expansive naturally lit foyers, function room, servery kiosk, large dressing rooms and free access to surrounding promenades, lawns and small amphitheatre.

Treads and Rostra

Rehearsal Room

Catering
Bar / Café facility equipped with fridge, urns, microwave oven, food warmer, dishwasher, crockery, glassware and cutlery. Hirers may obtain a liquor licence for specific events.
Bar may be operated by the hirer or The Curtin Theatre.
Box Office
Mobile box-office / reception counter relocatable to any foyer location. Counter may be staffed by up to three people
Flying System
The theatre does not have a fly tower so full drop cloths and scenery cannot be flown out of sight of the audience. All bars can be lowered to stage level for rigging purposes.
There are five flat truss bars in the theatre dedicated to scenery and drapes. Other bars are allocated to lighting or scenery specific to each show.
Batten Loading
Each batten has a maximum distributed load of 350 kg
