Parents and Citizens

The P&C Association (Inc) is a voice for parents, providing valuable feedback to the college while giving members an insight into college life. Members assist in various subcommittees such the Finance Committee and operate the canteen, which is the college’s main fundraiser.

Membership of the P&C is open to parents, citizens and carers of students at John Curtin College of the Arts. All parents and community members are welcome to attend meetings, which are held at 7pm in the college staffroom on the first Wednesday of each month during school term.

Attending meetings helps you to keep in touch with the needs of students, parents and staff. There are two types of P&C meetings. General meetings involve short presentations on subjects of interest to parents such as “How to deal with bullying” and “What it means to be an Independent Public School”.

Business meetings involve committee discussions of the various P&C activities that are run within the school, all parents are welcome to become involved in these meetings.

It is intended that the formal business of both types of meeting will be completed by 8 pm. Meetings are followed by an opportunity to mingle with other P&C members and the Principal over a cup of tea or coffee.  If you are interested in joining please email pandc@jc.wa.edu.au
