Artsmedia is offered as part of an integrated program in the arts at John Curtin College of the Arts. Entry is in Year 10.
About the programThe Artsmedia program offers your child the opportunity to develop skills in radio, film and television media. They will learn to create, produce and analyse media and develop their talent in video production, radio broadcasting, multimedia and journalism. They will learn to work both independently and in a team.
Media production is an important aspect of this program and students develop and present artistic media works to a range of audiences including other students. They also attend films, excursions and camps to enhance their understanding of artsmedia.
Your child will be able to pursue their specific interests, whether it is editing, audio recording and manipulation, camera and digital photography, producing roles, crew roles, script writing or directing.
The program is designed to enrich, extend and accelerate your child's learning.

Selection of students is through workshop, interview and school reports. Students submit a portfolio on request. Students are also required to sit the Selective Entrance Test coordinated by the Department of Education and Training. Arts selection is not based on this test, but is used to develop and appropriate academic curriculum.
