Educational leader to discuss creative and critical thinking in schools

Dr Adrian Bertolini is one of Australia’s foremost thought leaders on practical and real education to empower and develop resilient, independent learners, and will be presenting a keynote, Oh, the Places You’ll Go on Wednesday 21 February to the school community.
In this engaging and enlightening keynote Dr Bertolini will take parents through the design thinking process as they grapple with why it is important to develop young people to be innovative and creative.
Deputy Principal Georgina Wigley said inviting Dr Bertolini to speak was a part of the college’s STEM initiatives.
“It is really important that parents get a glimpse into the future employment opportunities for our children given our rapidly changing world,” she said.
“Through videos, discussions and a range of examples parents will explore the world we are preparing our children for and what is being done in schools (and by some parents) around Australia.”
Dr Bertolini is the Founder and Director of Learning of Intuyu Consulting and is constantly acknowledged for being an engaging, passionate and knowledgeable speaker, facilitator and coach.
After completing degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering his career took him through teaching Aerospace Engineering at RMIT, spending time in the USA exploring leadership in innovative tech companies, and empowering students through the Are You Making a Difference program.
“Dr Bertolini will also be conducting a professional development session for our staff on developing critical and creative thinking strategies,” Georgina said.
Dr Bertolini will be talking to our school community next Wednesday 21 February at 7pm at the Curtin Theatre.
