Digital Technology pilot program

Students from John Curtin College of the Arts were part of the new Digital Technology pilot program officially launched by Premier Hon Mark McGowan MLA, Minister for Education and Training, Hon Sue Ellery MLC and Chamber of Minerals of Western Australia CEO, Mr Paul Everingham at the Department of Education’s Innovation Showcase,  held as part of the Resources Technology Showcase in Perth.

Students from Years 7, 8 and 11 attended the Department of Education’s Innovation Showcase held at the Perth Conference and Exhibition Centre on the 27 November 2019 and the 28 November 2019.

Over two days, a small group of Year 8 students showed their incredible depth of curriculum knowledge, understanding and leadership describing and explaining the concept of a Digital System and the workings of a wired and wireless network to thousands of teachers, students, and the general public.

They also had the opportunity to attend seminars, workshops and conversations with industry experts associated with the Resource Technology Showcase who co-hosted the event with the Department of Education.
