Ride On the Highway to Hell with John Curtin music and dance students

This year’s free Perth Festival event, Highway to Hell will see Canning Highway transformed into the world’s longest stage, and our music and dance students are part of the entertainment.

In a unique collaboration, our dance and music students will be roving
along Canning Hwy to the Rainbow Sea Containers from 5pm to 6pm this Sunday 1 March.

As they present their AC/DC repertoire, our dancers, in conjunction with Brooke Leeder & Dancers, will perform simultaneously to the sound of the music ensembles directed by Simon Jeans, Peter Younghusband, Jesse Millea and Briohny Shemeld.

Highway to Hell will celebrate the great AC/DC frontman Bon Scott with local and international acts performing AC/DC songs from stages on the back of semi trailers in a parade from Applecross to Fremantle.

Audience members can walk the route with the trucks, set up a picnic anywhere along the highway, or purchase from food trucks along the highway.

Bon Scott is a John Curtin Senior High School graduate so the college is excited to be involved in this Perth Festival event.
