This magnificent blue-glass pavilion building is one element of the exciting opportunities that exist for students at John Curtin College of the Arts.

For more than a decade, Curtin Theatre has provided professional quality practice and performance spaces for our dance, drama, music and music theatre students- and we have plenty to show for it. A history of exceptional productions, a legion of incredible graduates and most importantly a peerless team of theatre staff. Nowhere in the state has this depth or breadth of institutional knowledge and experience when it comes to the organisation and production of student performances. This is something irreplaceable and just as if not more important than the physical building.

It is thanks to this wealth of experience that the performances at Curtin Theatre stand on the same level as any professional theatre company, something you can judge for yourself by taking a look at the gallery below!

With 20,000 seats filled just last year, there’s no better place for our aspiring performers to build confidence and experience in front of live audiences.

At the end of 2024, the construction of our new state-of-the-art music complex adjacent to Curtin Theatre will enhance the facility with a dedicated throughway for the transportation of larger instruments from the new storage areas and recording studios capable of streaming audio directly to our stage or for dubbing onto live broadcasts.
