Judy has taught in a range of educational sectors over her 21 years of teaching and in a range of contexts.

Judy has taught at Ballajurra Community College, Methodist Ladies College as Dance Coordinator, St Josephs Primary School in Kununurra.

Commencing at John Curtin in 2010 as a drama/dance teacher, her journey as a teacher has grown and developed into what she believes is her bigger purpose in life, to assist young people to become their best version of themselves. Moving into Director of Dance, Deputy for Operations, Curriculum Deputy and currently Associate Principal for Arts and Innovation.

During her time at John Curtin College of the Arts, Judy has worked in many of the arts learning areas in some capacity as a teacher of drama, Director of Contemporary Dance and Head of Department for Media Arts, before eventually taking on her current role. In her current position she feels inspired everyday working with talented and passionate teachers and students who value what the arts has to offer individuals and our community.

Judy truly believes in helping students thrive and value their educational experience and her goal is for every child to walk out of our College feeling cared for, enriched and inspired to create a better self and world they live in.

Judy is herself an artist and lover of the arts, working as a performer and dance tutor throughout WA prior to becoming a teacher. She remains engaged in the arts community outside of her role at the College and values the connection, skills and satisfaction that artistic disciplines have instilled in her as a person.

As Associate Principal for Arts and Innovation, Judy fosters the value and passion of the Arts to motivate rich and powerful learning.
