Michael enjoyed work as a farmhand for 20 years before changing direction and pursuing a career as a computer technician. Michael spent the next nine years working for a local computer business in Narrogin, WA. Not long after his appointment in this role the business won a contract as an integrator looking after Narrogin Senior High School. This also extended to managing the ICT network for several primary schools in an area stretching from Williams all the way to Kukerin.

Upon moving to Perth Michael worked for an integrator company that managed the ICT network of public schools. Two years later Michael was appointed Technical Support Officer at Gilmore College working in this role for the next seven years. During this time Michael further developed his skills and knowledge, gaining the experience required to take on his current position.

In his role as the IT Manager at the College Michael manages a dedicated team of experienced technicians. Michael has overseen not only the daily running of IT but has led projects in the school including managing the Bring Your Own Device program 2 years in a row, supporting the implementation of SEQTA, administering the replacement of all AV in 18 classrooms, and numerous other smaller projects.
