Charlotte Ehioghae has sprinted her way into the record books — and into the hearts of our community — with a jaw-dropping performance that has redefined what’s possible at her age. Running the U15 100m in a lightning-fast, wind-assisted time of 11.36 seconds, the 13-year-old Gifted and Talented Drama student didn’t just win gold — she became the fastest 13-year-old ever recorded.
At John Curtin College of the Arts, we celebrate excellence in all its forms, and Charlotte’s achievement exemplifies the incredible outcomes when talent, passion, and opportunity meet.
“The fastest 13-year-old ever.”
Charlotte’s win was more than a medal—it was a moment of national attention and inspiration. Her speed, power, and grace echo the discipline she brings to her dramatic studies, reminding us that high achievement doesn’t belong to just one path.
Part of a Legacy of Champions
Charlotte follows in the footsteps of another remarkable JC alum: Sasha Zhoya, a former Gifted and Talented Dance (Ballet) student. While at the College, Sasha broke multiple world junior athletics records and has since become a professional Olympic athlete, representing the future of elite global sport.
Like Charlotte, Sasha’s journey proves that a creative foundation builds world-class champions—on stage, on track, and beyond.
Nurturing Talent, On Every Stage
At John Curtin College of the Arts, we’re proud to provide a place where young people like Charlotte and Sasha can thrive—where their gifts are recognised, supported, and celebrated in a community that values creativity, resilience, and ambition.
