At John Curtin College of the Arts, our visual identity is more than just design, it’s a living reflection of who we are as a community.

The primary graphic, with its varied dot sizes, symbolises the individuality and diversity of each student who walks through our gates. Every dot represents a unique voice, talent, and perspective, while the flowing gradients and dynamic shapes woven through the design express the journey of growth, curiosity, and courage that our students embark on every day. Together, these elements create a vibrant, forward-looking identity, one that speaks to the values we hold close as a College: inclusion, creativity, innovation, and a deep respect for the path each young person takes as they shape their future.

Student-Led Collaboration

The secondary graphics featured across our materials and spaces were not created in isolation. They emerged through active student collaboration, where creativity, culture, and identity came together in meaningful ways.

Indigenous students and leaders from our Gifted and Talented Visual Arts program partnered with Nani Creative, an Aboriginal-led design studio, across a series of hands-on workshops. These sessions invited students to explore what the College’s identity means to them, drawing inspiration from the natural environment surrounding our campus, the unique shapes and forms of our physical spaces, and the rich cultural stories that underpin our shared place.

Authentic and Meaningful

Guided by student interpretations and brought to life through Nani Creative’s expertise, this collaborative process produced graphics that are not only visually striking but also deeply meaningful. They authentically reflect the voices, ideas, and perspectives of our students, ensuring that the College’s visual language feels both personal and connected to the community it represents.

This is more than a design, it’s a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and where we are heading together.
