Student Achievement

After graduating from Curtin University Andrew spent the early part of his career in schools in WA. Following a lengthy period in the UK where he worked in a number of roles including Head of Department, Assistant Principal and Deputy Principal he returned to Australia and joined the staff of the College in 2008. Andrew has been the Director of Learning Area for Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) over the last ten years. In that time he has overseen the substantial growth and success of the Humanities – building a department of highly skilled and dedicated staff. He believes that the Humanities are an indispensable part of a balanced education. He encourages the development of a HASS curriculum that is responsive to student needs and promotes the understandings, skills and values required by adolescents as they move towards adulthood in a challenging and increasingly unpredictable future.
