Diedre is a passionate and innovative educator who has been at the forefront of creating, innovating and delivering quality educational experiences for over 28 years. She commenced her journey at John Curtin College of the Arts in 1996 teaching drama, dance, and health. Over her time at the College Diedre has shaped the Gifted and Talented Dance program to provide the rigorous education and training for students within the government sector. She is committed to developing young people who are resilient, creative, and responsible learners preparing them for the future in this ever-changing world.
Inclusive opportunities for all students is something that Diedre highly values, facilitating personal achievement for all. She has created the Extended Ballet Program which provides students the opportunity to pursue Ballet as a future pathway. The program allows students to have the highest quality training within an integrated academic curriculum whilst maintaining a sense of belonging to the wider school community.
Diedre encourages staff to take advantage of the opportunities and projects available to them. Enabling staff to develop as educational leaders. She is very proud of the staff and their ability to work as a team, modelling the collaborative process for students and using the strengths of the individual to develop the best outcomes for Dance.
