Student Achievement

Maree is a highly experienced teacher and Director of the English Learning Area. She spent the early part of her career in country schools where she taught English, Drama and HASS. During this time she has gained experience as Head of English, Head of Drama and spent considerable time in Assistant Principal roles. Her love of English drew her back to the classroom where she gained substantive head of English and was fortunate to gain a position at John Curtin College of the Arts.

She has also taught in the juvenile justice system and has delivered a variety of units and written courses for university students. Maree enjoys working with the highly experienced and talented team of teachers within her department with whom she shares a passion for teaching and her subject area. Above all she prides herself in leading her staff to provide excellent opportunities for all students, enabling them to achieve their personal best.
