We wanted to share a valuable article published by the Department of Education Western Australia titled “Learning from the Pros.” This article emphasises that strong, positive relationships between students, teachers, and peers, along with teachers showing genuine interest in student wellbeing, are key drivers of student engagement. This aligns strongly with John Curtin College of the Arts’ values of fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. By focusing on building these relationships and demonstrating care for their students’ futures, JCCA educators can further enhance student engagement and success within their specialised arts programs.
