Duality: Double Bill
This performance is a celebration of 20 years of the John Curtin Theatre. In homage to our theatre, we are revisiting old works that have been performed here in the past: Les Sylphides and A System to Secrecy. Les Sylphides was the first ballet to be simply about mood and dance form; it was modern for its time and created new traditions. A System to Secrecy uses modern movement to reflect on old traditions and rituals. The performance is a contrast of two styles, contemporary and ballet, but whilst they are in contrast, one paves the way for the other.
