Our Curtin Theatre can be hired for events and functions.

Superbly equipped, the Curtin Theatre offers opportunities for a wide range of uses in theatrical and musical performance and for conferences, seminars and other presentations. The Curtin Theatre has a capacity for seating 456 people facing a large and flexible proscenium-style stage.

Located on the perimeter of the John Curtin College of the Arts campus, within five walking minutes of the Fremantle CBD, it offers easy access to rail and bus public transport and the metropolitan highway system, with ample, secure on-site parking.

The fully air-conditioned Curtin Theatre incorporates expansive naturally lit foyers, function room, a servery kitchen, large dressing rooms, free access to surrounding promenades and lawns, and a small amphitheatre.

For large performance groups

The large stage (16m deep by 11 to 15m variable width) is ideal for dance and other large performance groups. It is supported by a brilliantly lit, fully-mirrored and dividable dressing room of 15m x 5m and comprehensive toilet and shower facilities.

In addition, a studio area is present on the second floor with an open 15 m x 11m space that can be used as a warm-up studio, an overflow area for cast or, with its sweeping views over Fremantle and the ocean beyond, a function room before, during intervals, or after the performance.

The Curtin Theatre auditorium is encased on three sides by high-ceiling glassed foyers, easily capable of accommodating all audiences, and with easy access to the outdoor promenade, lawns and terraced amphitheatre. The foyers are equipped for the hanging of artworks, displays boards and banners.
